⚓ The FrontWars Roadmap: Naval Overhaul
High on the roadmap wishlist is a complete overhaul of naval warfare. The ocean is still "blue land." The community has proposed several game-changing concepts to make sea control matter.
Oil Platforms
A major addition proposed for the roadmap: high-risk offshore economy. Oil Platforms must connect via trade ships to generate massive income.
- Vulnerability: No SAM protection; requires active fleet cover.
- Meta Shift: Forces early fights for sea control instead of land turtling.
Sea Fortress
Endgame capital ship (10M Gold) designed to break island turtles.
- Siege Mode: Bombards coastal cities from long range.
- Eco Mode: Generates gold while stationary (mobile factory).
Ship Interceptors
Unarmed ships dedicated to shooting down incoming missiles—naval iron dome to counter the "nuke the ocean" meta.
🗺️ Future Map Concepts
No roadmap is complete without new terrain. These community-designed maps lean into chokepoints and multi-front wars instead of open-field spam.
The Baltic Sea (Livonian)
Central inland sea plus large lakes create natural barriers, forcing fights onto narrow land bridges.
Region: Canada (AppleSlices)
Banff Mountain Ranges as red zones and Great Lakes for isolated naval skirmishes—true multi-front pressure.
Yellow Sea
China, Korea, Japan in one map: continental warfare plus peninsula defense, tuned for competitive play.

New units are hype, but QoL keeps the game playable. These fixes target the daily pain points players report.

- Infinite Money: Nukes in the first 10 seconds of Classic Mode.
- Global Spam: Attacking every pixel simultaneously to lag the server.
AI Diplomacy & Behavior
Players want "Smart Bots" that respond to chat commands:
- "Attack Red" - Coordinates AI aggression.
- "Help Me" - AI sends defensive troops.
- "Give Money" - AI acts as an economic ally.
Creative Tools
The dream is user-generated content.
Map Editor: Rumored "Draw-a-Map" feature ("Maybe I made it" - dev hint) to enable custom scenarios.
